I am not sure how long the nest was there, but within a few days of my observing, a family was formed. It seemed only one gosling survived. On my evening walk I realized I had walked past this beauty. I turned around, looked again, and captured it for those who like myself, are amazed at the diverse beauty of creation. Loving Father may i always be aware of  the beauty  You have placed around me!

I will always remember hearing the dreaded words from my physician … “cancer”. This month is my 31st anniversary of being healed. I am thankful for family, and friends who prayed and supported me over these 31 years,  a great medical team, and most of all, the power of the Great Divine Healer. I spotted this duck recently on one of my love nature walks and thought it looked a bit different. One birding expert identified it as a "Mallard duck mixed with some domestic variation." Another as a "possible crossbreed between a domestic duck and a Mallard." Still another: "not a true Mallard as a true Mallard will have feathers that curl just above the tail feathers." It reminded me that we are all different, but very special to our Heavenly Father, I thought it deserved being displayed here. Let me know what your thoughts are! As I walked with my nine year old great-nephew Cairon through the lake and Formal Gardens of the Founders Inn on Friday, we spotted this squirrel. Oops, came too close and as we did, it quickly scurried to safety above us. Thank you Heavenly Father that in times that do not seem safe to us, times of perplexities, anxieties or danger, we too have a place that we can quickly scurry to for safety.
