No More A Secret

Time intrigues me … it’s significance … it’s worth … it’s value. Today as I adjust my clocks forward in observance of daylight saving time, I am again reminded of the significance, the worth, the value of each second.   Seconds + minutes + hours + days = months = years = life. Life spent or invested well = a life of significance, a life of worth,  a life of value! “Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well!” Psalm 90:12 (MSG)

TIME           =            GOLD Recently I watched as a favorite Winter Olympic athlete lost a gold medal by 0.94 of a second, resulting in a silver medal win for the event. As a fan, I was disappointed. As a participant? I am sure she was also. Timing too has caused me to miss medals. Times when words spoken would have qualified me for gold, had I remained silent by 0.94 of a second … times when a negative attitude would have qualified me for gold, had I not responded by 0.94 of a second. This athlete will have another opportunity to compete for gold in Sochi 2014. I felt it slipping out of my hand, seconds later, crashing into the zinc. One of my favorite vision pots - glass was everywhere … splintered glass ... chunks of glass … glass in all shapes … glass in all sizes. I loved cooking with that pot.     Recently a visiting pastor shared a very significant message at my church. He talked about how many of us have an untold story that we would prefer to share with NO ONE! The good news though, he said, was that our Heavenly Father has answers for these untold stories ~ the told story of what He has done for us.
