I spotted this duck recently on one of my love nature walks and thought it looked a bit different. One birding expert identified it as a "Mallard duck mixed with some domestic variation." Another as a "possible crossbreed between a domestic duck and a Mallard." Still another: "not a true Mallard as a true Mallard will have feathers that curl just above the tail feathers." It reminded me that we are all different, but very special to our Heavenly Father, I thought it deserved being displayed here. Let me know what your thoughts are! So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. ~ Genesis 1:21
Today, trust is sometimes difficult to encounter. Widely advertised products fail to produce promised results. Investments loose value. Friends and family members disappoint. Expected lasting relationships end. Amid all of this, there is One whose trust never fails. An article in Reader’s Digest 600 page book entitled “Strange Stories, Amazing Facts states:” “Every minute of our lives the heart pumps 10 pints of blood – 30 pints during brisk exercise – through about 600,000 miles of arteries, veins and capillaries.” Just think. Created by the hand of the Great Creator who says: “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age 1 ." I believe these words are not difficult for me to trust. What about you? 1. Matthew 28:20b (NLT) Photo: Red-winged Blackbird Kindly left click 3 times on photo for larger view
Two definitions of the word worry given by Webster’s Dictionary are: to feel or experience concern or anxiety or to be concerned or troubled. No physician in this world can prescribe, or recommend anti-worry medication as a cure for concern or trouble. As one prone to worry, I have discovered that the most effective way to deal with the habit is to refer often to Words of comfort such as these found in the pages of the Holy Scriptures spoken by Jesus, and recorded in the book of Luke 12:27-28 : "Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” Are you a worrier? Do you find these Words comforting also? Photo: Prelude – Camellia Japonica Taken at : Norfolk Bot...
